Solas

Saturday, February 27, 2027 | 7:30 PM | Tickets $45 – Day of Show $50

Back for the first time since 2012. Solas has been the standard-bearer for Irish-American acoustic music for thirty years. Formed in New York City in 1995 by multi-instrumentalist Séamus Egan and fiddler Winifred Horan, they built their reputation weaving traditional Irish tunes with folk, bluegrass, Americana, and original songwriting in ways that redefined what Celtic music could be. The Boston Globe called them "the finest Celtic ensemble this country has ever produced." The Wall Street Journal called them "an Irish traditional band
bearing all the marks of greatness."

For their 30th anniversary tour, Solas arrives with a lineup worth noting: founding members Egan and Horan are joined by original accordionist John Williams - back in the fold for the first time in years - along with celebrated Irish singer and flutist Nuala Kennedy and guitarist Alan Murray. That their 30th falls in our 25th anniversary season feels like the kind
of coincidence you don't question too hard. We're glad the anniversaries lined up the way they did.
