Thirty minutes. Homemade cupcakes. Good company.
Intermission at Community Church Concerts has always been a good old-fashioned church bake sale. Come to think of it, so is the whole concert series.
Back in the Community Church Coffeehouse days — the very first show, June 3, 2000 — Uwe Kruger wrapped up the first set and told the room: 'After the next tune, we will take a little break… we will restock on the strawberry short cake.' Someone had put out a table of homemade treats and coffee, and the tradition stuck.
Twenty-five years later, that instinct is still right. Over time, the table of cookies and brownies grew into something more intentional: a signature cupcake made by our baker, Tina Cochran. Each one made for the artist and their music.
Around here, feeding people is just how we say welcome.

Every season, a new lineup. Every show, a new cupcake.
