Kruger Brothers
Friday, December 18, 2026 | 7:30 PM | Tickets $45 – Day of Show $50

If the 25th anniversary season has a throughline, it's this: the artists who built something rare with us are coming back. Nobody embodies that more than Community Church Concerts Artist-in-Residence, The Kruger Brothers. Jens and Uwe - raised in Switzerland, spiritually born in Appalachia - were here for the very first night, June 3, 2000, when this series was still called the Community Church Coffeehouse and tickets were $15 at the door. Before the night was over, they debuted a new piece - no name yet, never played in front of an audience before. "We saved this one for Chapel Hill," Uwe told the room. That song became Shower, one of the most beloved pieces in their catalog.
They have appeared on this stage more than any artist in our history, returning so often over the past twenty-five years that it's impossible to tell the story of Community Church Concerts without them. And this December, they’re back, bringing a little seasonal sound to lift the holiday spirits. Join us for Christmas with the Krugers.
For our longtime subscribers, you know the particular magic of a Kruger Brothers night. For anyone who hasn't witnessed it yet: this is the one.
For anyone who wants to know where this all started, we dug up a couple of artifacts. One is a holiday song featuring an unreasonable number of adorable childhood photos from Switzerland. The other captures the Krugers 25 years ago, around the same time they first stepped onto the CCC stage. We recommend watching them in that order.
Glad you're still here, fellas.
